Scheduling and Appointments
How do I schedule an appointment?
The easiest path is to request one online through the link on our homepage, or to call or text us at (352) 293-2800.
What are your hours?
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Fridays are available by special appointment. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
What if I need an emergency appointment?
Call us at (352) 293-2800. During business hours, we work to fit emergencies in the same day whenever possible. After hours, leave a voicemail and we will respond as soon as we can.
Category 3
Insurance, Cost, and Financing
Are you in-network with my dental insurance?
We are out-of-network with all dental insurance plans. We accept dental insurance as a courtesy and file claims on your behalf. We provide a complimentary benefits check before your appointment so you know exactly what your plan will cover at our office.
Do you accept Medicaid?
No. Jackson Dentistry is not a Medicaid provider.
What does a new patient appointment cost?
For new patients without dental insurance, the first appointment is $99. This includes the dental exam by Dr. Jackson or Dr. Romine and any radiographs or imaging needed. For new patients with dental insurance, your benefits typically cover most or all of the exam — we will verify with a complimentary benefits check before your appointment.
Will you tell me what my treatment will cost before I commit?
Yes — always. You will receive a clear understanding of the cost of your treatment at the conclusion of your consultation, before you commit to anything.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We accept CareCredit, a healthcare-specific financing option with multiple payment plans including interest-free promotional periods. We also offer an in-house Membership Savings Plan for patients without dental insurance.
Category 4
Technology
Do you use modern dental technology?
Yes. We use CBCT 3D imaging, iTero digital scanning, the Yomi robotic implant system, the Instarisa 3D facial scanner, and an in-house digital lab with Exocad software and dental 3D printers.
What is Yomi?
Yomi is the first and only FDA-cleared robotic system for dental implant surgery. We use it primarily for full-arch All-on-X cases.
Do I have to do digital intake forms or can I do them on paper?
Most patients complete forms digitally before their appointment, which is faster and easier. Paper forms are also available at the office for any form you would prefer to fill out in person.
Category 5
Dental Implants
Are dental implants right for me?
Most adults with missing or failing teeth are candidates. The CBCT scan we capture at your consultation tells us whether you have sufficient bone, and Dr. Jackson can typically determine your candidacy at that same appointment.
I have been told I do not have enough bone for an implant. Is that true?
Maybe — but often not. Dr. Jackson has successfully treated many patients who had been told elsewhere that they had insufficient bone. Modern bone grafting techniques and the high-quality CBCT imaging in our office often make implants possible for patients who have been turned away elsewhere.
Are dental implants painful?
Modern anesthesia is highly effective and most patients are surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. We frequently use oral sedation for patients who would prefer a more relaxed experience. Many implant cases are flapless, which significantly reduces post-procedure discomfort.
How long do dental implants last?
Properly placed and well-maintained, dental implants have a long-term success rate of approximately 97% over a 10-year period. Most last for decades.
How much do implants cost?
The cost varies significantly based on the case — single tooth, multiple teeth, or full-arch All-on-X are very different in scope. We provide a clear understanding of the cost of your care at the conclusion of your consultation.
Category 6
All-on-X (Full-Arch Implants)
What is All-on-X?
All-on-X is a procedure that replaces an entire arch of teeth on as few as four implants. The result is a permanent, fixed prosthesis that looks and functions like natural teeth.
Do you do the whole All-on-X procedure at your office?
Yes — start to finish. This includes extractions, bone recontouring, bone grafting with PRF, implant placement, and the final zirconia prosthesis. You do not need to be referred to a separate specialist for any phase of the procedure.
How long does the All-on-X process take?
From consultation to final prosthesis, most cases span six to nine months. The procedure itself is typically completed in a single day, with the rest being healing and final restoration.
When will I have teeth?
Currently, we provide a fixed provisional prosthesis the day after your procedure. We are working toward the goal of same-day provisionals in the next two years.
Category 7
Sedation and Comfort
Do you offer sedation for nervous patients?
Yes. We offer oral sedation for patients who would like a more relaxed experience during longer procedures. In our experience, it has worked exceptionally well — significantly reducing anxiety and allowing patients to tolerate longer or more involved care comfortably. We anticipate being able to offer IV sedation as an additional option later in 2026.
I am very anxious about dental visits. What do you recommend?
Talk to us. There is almost always a way to make your appointment work, whether that is sedation, careful pacing, or simply taking the time to explain everything before we begin. Many of our most anxious patients have become longtime patients of the practice.
Category 8
General
Is anyone on staff fluent in Spanish?
Yes. Many of our team members are fluent in Spanish. ¡Se habla español!
Do you see emergency patients who are not yet established with the practice?
Yes. Call (352) 293-2800 and explain your situation — we will do our best to fit you in.
How far in advance should I schedule a routine cleaning?
Routine cleanings can typically be scheduled in the near term. We recommend scheduling your next cleaning at the conclusion of each visit, so your appointment is on the calendar in advance.
What if my question is not on this list?
