Our philosophy

A natural-looking improvement, not a Hollywood makeover

There is a kind of cosmetic dentistry that produces obviously artificial-looking teeth — too white, too uniform, too perfectly aligned, the kind that makes everyone in the room subtly uncomfortable. That is not what we do.

Our approach to cosmetic dentistry starts with what would look natural on you specifically — your face, your other teeth, your skin tone, your age, the way you actually smile. The goal is a result that looks like you, just refreshed. People should think you slept well, not that you got new teeth.

What we offer

Cosmetic services we provide

eMax veneers.

Thin, custom-made shells of lithium disilicate ceramic bonded to the front surfaces of teeth. Veneers correct color, shape, alignment, and small imperfections — often with minimal alteration of the underlying tooth. eMax is the material we use specifically because of its exceptional optical properties: it captures the translucency and depth of natural enamel in a way other materials cannot.

Esthetic zirconia crowns.

For teeth that need more substantial restoration than a veneer, modern esthetic zirconia crowns deliver beautiful results — combining strength with the lifelike appearance of natural teeth.

Composite bonding.

For smaller corrections — chipped corners, small gaps, minor reshaping — composite bonding can produce excellent results with minimal removal of tooth structure. Often completed in a single appointment.

Professional take-home whitening.

The Ultradent Opalescence Go system produces excellent results without the need for custom trays or in-office appointments. Learn more about Teeth Whitening.

Complete smile redesign.

For patients who want to redesign multiple teeth — or their entire smile — we work through digital design and detailed conversations to plan a result you have seen and approved before any treatment begins.

Cosmetic case integration.

For patients undergoing implant care or full-mouth rehabilitation, the esthetic design of the final result is a significant part of what we do. The way the final teeth look matters as much as how they function.

Our cosmetic workflow

How we plan a cosmetic case

  1. 1

    Step 1

    A conversation.

Before we examine, we listen. What do you like about your smile? What do you not like? What have you been wanting to change? Sometimes patients arrive with a clear vision; other times they just know something feels off. Either way, we start there.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Examination and digital records.

We capture digital photographs, an iTero scan, and any other records we need to understand what you are starting with — and what is possible. For cases where the relationship between the smile and the face matters, we may also use the Instarisa 3D facial scanner.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Digital design and physical preview.

For more involved cases, we produce a digital design of your proposed result and show it to you on screen during a dedicated case-presentation appointment. We also 3D-print both the digital "before" (a model of your current teeth) and the digital "after" (a model of the proposed final result) so you can hold both in your hands and compare them directly. The full proposal is yours to see, ask questions about, and approve before any irreversible treatment begins.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Treatment.

The actual cosmetic care depends on what we are doing — veneers, crowns, bonding, whitening, or a combination. Our digital workflow and lab partner produce highly precise restorations that integrate seamlessly with your natural teeth.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Final adjustments.

After placement, we fine-tune the bite, polish the restorations, and confirm everything looks and feels right. We want you to leave thrilled — not just satisfied.

Both doctors

Two doctors, two perspectives, one esthetic standard

Both Dr. Jackson and Dr. Romine perform cosmetic dentistry. Each brings a slightly different perspective — Dr. Jackson's restorative care is informed by his deep experience in implant esthetics and full-mouth cases, while Dr. Romine's cosmetic care is integral to her general dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation focus. For patients undergoing comprehensive cosmetic redesign or full-mouth cases, the doctors often collaborate — combining their expertise for results that benefit from both perspectives.

Frequently asked

Common questions about cosmetic dentistry

How long do veneers last?

Well-made eMax veneers, properly placed and maintained, often last 10–15 years or longer — sometimes much longer. Good home care and routine dental visits significantly extend their lifespan.

Will my veneers look fake?

Not when designed and placed properly. Modern veneers in the right material — eMax, in our case — capture the translucency, color variation, and surface texture of natural teeth. The goal is for your smile to look refreshed, not artificial.

How many veneers will I need?

It depends on your case. Some patients want a single veneer to correct one tooth. Others want to redesign their whole smile, which might involve six to ten veneers across the front of the mouth. We will design the right approach for your goals.

How much does cosmetic dentistry cost?

It varies based on what is involved. A single composite bonding repair is in a very different cost range than a full smile redesign with veneers. We will provide a clear understanding of the cost of your care after your consultation.

Will my insurance cover cosmetic care?

Cosmetic dentistry is typically not covered by dental insurance — by definition, it is elective rather than medically necessary. Restorative care that incidentally improves appearance (a needed crown, for example) is often covered.

Can I see what my smile will look like before committing?

Yes — for substantive cosmetic cases, we produce a digital design of your proposed result and show it to you on screen during a dedicated case-presentation appointment. We also 3D-print models of your current teeth and the proposed final result, so you can hold both in your hands and compare them directly before deciding to proceed.

Curious what is possible for your smile?

A cosmetic consultation is unhurried and pressure-free. We will look at where you are starting from, talk through your goals, and walk through what is realistic — including timeline, materials, and cost.
